A blacksmith is part of every true epic adventure when it comes to tales from the Middle Ages. Therefore it’s quite helpful for an upcoming composer to have a name like young composer Daniel Schmid. “Schmied” in German means blacksmith and thanks to his great compositions he can be part of many tales yet to be told. Like every blacksmith is either part of a battle with his own hands or with the weapons he hammered, Daniel Schmid stands with his name for every composition crafted and would bring every soldier in an epic battle more power than they could ever get from fighting for their kingdom: He’d empower them with his oustanding compositions.

After Blades and Fates you’ll listen now to A Century’s Tal – a quieter piece proving his diversity especially at the end. Daniel Schmid is only 20 years old so every company should hurry to get him on bord first!

The fantasy-genre is one of my absolute biggest inspirations I think: games, movies, books, all of them.  I’m currently working on the soundtrack for a fantasy strategy-roleplay videogame.

Enjoy listening to his Soundtracks and Trailer Music, influenced by composers like Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Jeremy Soule, Danny Elfman, John Williams, Kai Rosenkranz (composer for German RPG Gothic) and Audiomachine as well as Symphonic Metal.

Check out Daniel Schmid’s music – including “mainly epic and emotional, but also adventurous pieces” – on Facebook & Youtube, he’s also new on soundcloud and don’t forget to buy his releases on Bandcamp!

Last but not least enjoy listening to his latest piece From Thebes To Memphis which is quite different to his other compositions. With the usage of instruments from the middle-east he invites you the first time to a journey to ancient Egypt:
