Welcome in the new episode of Trailer Music Placements. Today we take a look at November’s most noteworthy trailers. So let’s get to work!
The following list is sorted chronologically.
Trailer Music Placement #1: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug feat. “Dawn” & “Spirit Of Light”
The month’s overview begins with the sneak peek trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug featuring Shockwave Sound’s “Spirit Of Light” composed by Pierre Langer. Like the previous time the trailer opens with Ninja Tracks’ “Dawn”.
Trailer Music Placement #2: RoboCop feat. “Last Exit” & “Engage”
Remakes and reboots aren’t rare in Hollywood, so the reboot of RoboCop comes as no surprise. The second trailer of the film starts with Hi-Finesse’s “Last Exit” composed by Erich Lee from the album “Preludes”. After, we can hear “Engage” by PP Music written by Richard Powell.
Trailer Music Placement #3: Injustice: Gods Among Us: Ultimate Edition feat. C. Field and B. Burchell’s “The Fury”
X-Ray Dog’s “The Fury” has been used again in the trailer of Injustice: Gods Among Us. This time it was launch trailer of the Ultimate Edition of the game. The track was composed by Chris Field and Beau Burchell from album “Beast Break”.
Trailer Music Placement #4: Noah feat. “Between Two Worlds” & “New Beginning”
The must-see trailer of the past month is definitely Darren Aronofsky’s biblical apocalypse Noah. The first track is X-Ray Dog’s “Between Two Worlds” composed by Gregg Lehrman and Boris Nonte from album “Canis Optimus”. The second is audiomachine’s “New Beginning” composed by Kevin Rix and it’s featured on both “Millennium” and public release album Existence.
Trailer Music Placement #5: Oldboy feat. Tony Hajjar’s “Fallen Shadows”
November has proven to be successful for Sencit Music, their track “Fallen Shadows” from their album “Tenth Dimension 3.0” has been used in the trailer for Oldboy.
Trailer Music Placement #6: Maleficent feat. Hi-Finesse’s “Ethos”
Last month was released teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming movie Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie. The trailer is featuring Hi-Finesse’s “Ethos” from album “Preludes”.
Trailer Music Placement #7: Divergent feat. “Zero Hour” & “Legion”
Two of the Brand X Music’s tracks have been licensed for the trailer of Divergent. The first one is “Zero Hour” composed by Daniel Heath and the second is “Legion” by John Sponsler, Tom Gire & Josh Lynch. Both tracks are from the album “Illuminate”.
Trailer Music Placement #8: Ryse: Son of Rome feat. Thomas Bergersen’s “Heart of Courage”
Ryse: Son of Rome is out on Xbox One and alongside with it the launch trailer for the game. The track which has been licensed in the trailer needs no introduction, because it’s Thomas Bergersen’s “Heart of Courage” from Two Steps From Hell. While it made it more epic, the use of music in the launch trailer of Mass Effect 2 still will be my favorite.
Trailer Music Placement #9: The Nut Job feat. Immediate’s “Prepare For The Knight” & “Austin Bond”
Immediate’s “Prepare For The Knight” and “Austin Bond” from album “Dark Hero: Uprising” are featured in the second theatrical trailer for The Nut Job.
Trailer Music Placement #10: Sabotage feat. K. Cohen & M. D. Nielsen’s “Vengeance”
Ninja Tracks also doesn’t slowing down. “Vengeance” from their latest commercial release Revolution Dominion composed by Kaveh Cohen and Michael David Nielsen was used in the trailer for Sabotage starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington.
That would be it in this episode. Have I forgot to mention something in this overview, what was your favourite trailer in November? Share your thoughts in the comment section below and I see you next month!
