From 13th -19th September in Krakow, Poland, the annual Sacrum Profanum Festival is taking place. The festival aims at blurring the lines between contemporary music and the experimental scene. Many groups, composers and solo artists from those worlds come together to showcase their music at concerts and events throughout the festival.
This year there are many acts and exciting happenings going on, including Oscar-Nominated Icelandic Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson who just scored Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Sicario,’ and British Band ‘These New Puritans’ as well as Alice Sara Ott and Ólafur Arnalds (‘Broadchurch’) who recently collaborated on ‘The Chopin Project.’
You can find the full Programme of the festival here and the full list of the artists here. You can still buy tickets to the festival and to any separate concert or event here. And here is the official website for you to explore. You can follow the Krakow Festical Office that is also responsible for the Krakow Film Music Festival on Instagram, too.
