ABOUT MICHAEL WANDMACHER
Michael Wandmacher is truly one of the most versatile composing talents working right now, positioned at the forefront of a new generation of composers who are crafting unique, bold and genre-twisting original scores. His soon to be released music for Sony/Lakeshore’s Underworld: Blood Wars represents the cutting edge of the hybrid score, mixing total command of traditional orchestra seamlessly blended with the most eclectic array of modern and vintage electronics.
Wandmacher also moves effortlessly between music genres, scoring ABC’s breakout hit comedy series The Goldbergs (now in its fourth season), as well as My Bloody Valentine (Lionsgate’s box office success which grossed over $100M worldwide), and Marvel’s Punisher: War Zone. No stranger to videogames, he also worked on Sony Playstation’s megahit Bloodborne, as well as other massive titles like Twisted Metal, and Singularity.
Another of Wandmacher’s passions is working within the culturally prevalent world of EDM under his DJ alias Khursor. In addition to his original songwriting, he has produced re-imagines for songs from artists as wide-ranging as Sting (who recorded a brand new vocal for the classic Every Breath You Take specifically for Michael’s version of the song), Soundgarden, The Who, Lenny Kravitz, Culture Club and Black Sabbath.
Upcoming projects include Screen Gems action/horror pic Patient Zero, Zanuck Independent’s period drama Voice From The Stone, starring Emilia Clarke and for which he co-wrote the end title song with Amy Lee of Evanescence, and the ABC family comedy Imaginary Mary starring Jenna Elfman.
